A Market Stall.
An Idea. A Workshop.

The Stroopwafel Workshop was born from a simple idea — what if visitors to Amsterdam could experience the magic of making a real stroopwafel themselves? Started at the iconic Albert Cuyp Market, we turned a centuries-old Dutch tradition into a hands-on experience that brings people together from all over the world.

Two Centuries
of Dutch Heritage

The stroopwafel dates back to the late 18th century in Gouda, the Netherlands. Originally a "poor man's cookie" made from leftover breadcrumbs, it evolved into one of the most beloved Dutch treats. Every stroopwafel is made from two thin waffle layers with a caramel syrup filling — simple ingredients, but the technique makes all the difference.

Albert Cuyp Market

Our workshop sits at Amsterdam's most famous street market, where stroopwafels have been sold for over a century.

Made By You

This isn't a demonstration. You mix, roll, press, and fill your own stroopwafels from scratch.
