How long is the workshop?

The workshop runs for approximately 45 minutes from start to finish. That's enough time to learn the history of the stroopwafel, mix and press your dough, fill it with warm caramel syrup, taste your creation, and pack up your take-home wafels — without feeling rushed. It's a perfectly paced experience.

Do I need any baking experience?

Absolutely not — no experience is needed whatsoever. Our workshops are designed to welcome all skill levels, from complete beginners to seasoned home bakers. Our expert guides walk you through every step, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm (and an appetite).

What's included in the workshop?

Your workshop includes: a complimentary coffee or tea, full use of all ingredients and equipment, expert guidance throughout the session, 2 XL stroopwafels to take home (freshly made by you), an official participation certificate, and the secret recipe to recreate the magic at home.

Can I book for a group?

Yes! Standard sessions accommodate up to 12 people per session — the perfect intimate group size. For larger groups (13 or more), corporate events, or private party bookings, please contact us directly at book@funamsterdam.com or call +31 20 810 0285. We'll arrange something special for you. You can also book a private group session directly.

Is the workshop suitable for children?

Yes — children of all ages are warmly welcome! The workshop is a fantastic family activity. Younger children may need a little extra hands-on help at the waffle press from a parent or guardian, but everyone can join in. The joy of pressing a waffle and tasting warm caramel is pretty universal.

What about dietary restrictions?

We can accommodate most common dietary requirements with advance notice. Please mention any allergies or dietary restrictions when booking or email us ahead of your visit at book@funamsterdam.com. Note that our kitchen works with gluten, dairy, and eggs, so we cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment.
